Why We Do This
The digital world is changing rapidly—too rapidly for many seniors to easily keep up. Stories like Anne’s, a French woman who lost €830,000 to scammers impersonating actor Brad Pitt, remind us of the urgent need to support and educate older adults online. Instead of judgment and ridicule, Securijoy promotes empathy, understanding, and proactive prevention to keep our seniors safe.

Annybell Villarroel is the founder of Securijoy, driven by her passion for cybersecurity, technology, and connecting with people. With a professional background in Cybersecurity Awareness and certifications such as the SANS Certified Security Awareness Practitioner, Annybell deeply understands the challenges people face online. Her commitment to protecting elders from digital fraud was sparked by witnessing the vulnerability and emotional impact scams have on older adults.
